VIV Asia 2027 in Bangkok: Expanded Preparations Bring New Technology Opportunities for Farming and Food Industries.

From automated poultry farm management, fish and shrimp nutrition, livestock breeding and disease prevention to meat and dairy processing, VIV Asia 2027 will bring the entire animal protein production chain under one roof. The international trade exhibition will take place on 10–12 March 2027 at the IMPACT Exhibition Center in Nonthaburi, near Bangkok, Thailand. According to the published schedule, the exhibition will open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time.
Information published by the organizers indicates that preparations are focusing on expanding the exhibition, attracting international companies, showcasing sector-specific technologies and strengthening connections between buyers and suppliers. Building on previous editions, the upcoming event will introduce additional exhibition areas and new opportunities for expert discussions.
What Activities Are Currently Underway?
Companies interested in exhibiting at VIV Asia 2027 can submit an expression of interest through the organizers’ website. Information is available on participation formats, exhibition preparation and contact details for the sales team. Ready-to-use booth packages for first-time exhibitors and a Start-up Hub for eligible young companies are also being promoted. These arrangements indicate an effort to involve emerging technology businesses alongside established international companies.
One of the most significant announcements concerns the expansion of the exhibition space. According to the organizers, the 2027 exhibition footprint will increase by 38 percent. Hall 5 will feature eight country pavilions, Hall 6 will focus on Feed & Grain Technology, and Hall 7 will host “The VIV Village.”
The country pavilions will provide opportunities for international business connections, while the feed and grain technology area will bring together specialized suppliers. The VIV Village is intended to provide a setting where industry professionals can meet and build relationships.
The organizers have also published information about a Hosted Buyers program to connect buyers with exhibitors, alongside an Industry Leader Program for senior decision-makers. These programs offer opportunities for business introductions, structured connections and exclusive networking. Participation and access to benefits will depend on the eligibility and selection requirements of each program.
Feed, Animal Health and Smart Farming on the Conference Agenda
Alongside the exhibition, the organizers have announced the overall framework for the 2027 conference program. Under the theme “Advancing Animal Protein Production in Asia,” discussions will be organized around five pillars: Feed, Farm, Health, Protein and Future.
Topics include animal feed and nutrition, alternative proteins, feed milling, diseases and vaccines, diagnostics, animal welfare, artificial intelligence, robotics, genetics, breeding, food safety and future investment. Keynote presentations, expert panels, roundtables and technical discussions are planned to address production efficiency, health, resilience and innovation.
A new addition will be a dedicated discussion series called VIV Expert/VIV Signature. However, the conference page checked as of 1 November 2026 stated that detailed sessions and confirmed speakers would be announced later. The announced topics should therefore be understood as the program’s framework rather than a finalized daily schedule.
Information has also been published on specialized areas, including AgriBITs for digital agriculture and data-driven farm management, Aquatic for aquaculture production, health and processing, and Dairy for dairy farming and milk processing.
The organizers have announced that Meat Pro Asia and HortiAgri Next Asia will take place alongside VIV Asia. This will extend the event’s scope by connecting livestock production with food processing and agricultural technology.
What Happened at Previous Editions?
Previous editions of VIV Asia have focused on three main activities: technology and product exhibitions, knowledge exchange and international business networking.
According to the official review of the 2025 edition, the event welcomed more than 51,000 professional visitors from 129 countries and approximately 1,500 exhibitors from 63 countries. It covered a gross exhibition area of 75,000 square metres and brought together more than 300 professional speakers and around 700 industry leaders.
These figures represent actual participation at the 2025 edition; they are not confirmed participation figures for 2027.
Preparations for the 2025 edition placed particular emphasis on regenerative agriculture and animal disease management. The Aquatic Pavilion was expanded to cover shrimp alongside fish. A Start-up Hub Pavilion was also introduced to help emerging businesses connect with international markets. These initiatives created opportunities to present technologies while discussing new business ideas and sector-specific challenges.
Earlier, the 2023 edition attracted 47,527 visitors from 112 countries and more than 1,186 exhibitors from 57 countries. More than 120 sessions took place over four days, including the day before the main exhibition. Notable activities included expert discussions on fish and shrimp nutrition at the Aquatic Asia Conference, alongside knowledge exchange on sustainable farming practices.
Why Does It Matter for Bangladesh?
Considering the realities of Bangladesh’s poultry, dairy, fisheries and feed industries, several potential benefits emerge from an exhibition of this kind.
First, participants can compare technologies from multiple companies in one place. Second, they can ask suppliers directly about electricity consumption, maintenance, spare parts and after-sales service, alongside equipment prices. Third, they can learn from specialists about disease prevention, nutrition and production management.
The central task, however, will be to assess whether these technologies suit Bangladesh’s conditions. Equipment designed for large farms may not be equally effective for small or medium-sized operations. Participants will need to examine whether a system can perform reliably in the local climate and how long it may take to recover the investment.
Visitors should therefore define their objectives before attending. Some may want to improve feed mill efficiency, while others may seek hatchery technology, aquafeed solutions, milk preservation systems or meat processing equipment. Clear objectives will make it easier to identify relevant companies and discussions.
The announced preparations for VIV Asia 2027 show an ambition to connect technology, specialist knowledge and international business networks on a larger scale. For participants from Bangladesh, the most valuable outcome will be applying that knowledge and those connections to practical problems in the country’s farms and food industries.

প্রদর্শনীর পাশাপাশি ২০২৭ সালের সম্মেলনের মূল কাঠামো ঘোষণা করেছে আয়োজকপক্ষ। ‘Advancing Animal Protein Production in Asia’ প্রতিপাদ্যে আলোচনাকে পাঁচটি স্তম্ভে সাজানো হচ্ছে—Feed, Farm, Health, Protein ও Future।
এর আওতায় পশুখাদ্য ও পুষ্টি, বিকল্প প্রোটিন, ফিড মিলিং, রোগ ও টিকা, রোগনির্ণয়, প্রাণিকল্যাণ, কৃত্রিম বুদ্ধিমত্তা, রোবটিকস, জেনেটিকস, প্রজনন, খাদ্যনিরাপত্তা এবং ভবিষ্যৎ বিনিয়োগের মতো বিষয় রাখা হয়েছে। মূল বক্তব্য, বিশেষজ্ঞ প্যানেল, গোলটেবিল ও কারিগরি আলোচনার মাধ্যমে উৎপাদনদক্ষতা, স্বাস্থ্য, সংকট মোকাবিলার সক্ষমতা এবং উদ্ভাবনকে সামনে আনার পরিকল্পনা রয়েছে।
নতুন সংযোজন হিসেবে VIV Expert/VIV Signature নামে বিশেষ আলোচনা সিরিজের ঘোষণা এসেছে। তবে ১ নভেম্বর ২০২৬ পর্যন্ত যাচাই করা সম্মেলন পাতায় বিস্তারিত সেশন ও নিশ্চিত বক্তাদের তালিকা পরে প্রকাশের কথা বলা হয়েছে। তাই ঘোষিত আলোচ্য বিষয়কে চূড়ান্ত দৈনিক কর্মসূচি হিসেবে বিবেচনা করা ঠিক হবে না।
ডিজিটাল কৃষি ও তথ্যনির্ভর খামার ব্যবস্থাপনার জন্য AgriBITs, মৎস্যচাষের উৎপাদন–স্বাস্থ্য–প্রক্রিয়াজাতকরণের জন্য Aquatic এবং দুগ্ধ খামার ও দুধ প্রক্রিয়াজাতকরণের জন্য Dairy বিশেষায়িত এলাকার তথ্যও প্রকাশ করা হয়েছে। পাশাপাশি Meat Pro Asia ও HortiAgri Next Asia একই সময়ে আয়োজনের কথা জানিয়েছে কর্তৃপক্ষ। এতে প্রাণিসম্পদের সঙ্গে খাদ্য প্রক্রিয়াজাতকরণ ও কৃষিপ্রযুক্তির সংযোগও সামনে আসবে।
বিগত আয়োজনে কী হয়েছে
VIV Asia-র আগের আয়োজনগুলোতে মূলত তিন ধরনের কার্যক্রম গুরুত্ব পেয়েছে—প্রযুক্তি ও পণ্য প্রদর্শন, জ্ঞান বিনিময় এবং আন্তর্জাতিক ব্যবসায়িক যোগাযোগ।
২০২৫ সালের আয়োজনের আনুষ্ঠানিক পর্যালোচনা অনুযায়ী, সেখানে ১২৯টি দেশ থেকে ৫১ হাজারের বেশি পেশাজীবী দর্শনার্থী এবং ৬৩টি দেশের প্রায় ১ হাজার ৫০০ প্রদর্শক অংশ নেন। প্রদর্শনীর মোট পরিসর ছিল ৭৫ হাজার বর্গমিটার। উপস্থিত ছিলেন ৩০০-এর বেশি পেশাদার বক্তা এবং প্রায় ৭০০ শিল্পনেতা। এসব পরিসংখ্যান ২০২৫ সালের বাস্তব অংশগ্রহণের হিসাব; ২০২৭ সালের নিশ্চিত অংশগ্রহণ নয়।
২০২৫ সালের আয়োজনের প্রস্তুতিতে পুনরুজ্জীবনমূলক কৃষি ও প্রাণির রোগ ব্যবস্থাপনাকে বিশেষ গুরুত্ব দেওয়া হয়েছিল। মাছের পাশাপাশি চিংড়িকে অন্তর্ভুক্ত করে Aquatic Pavilion-এর পরিধি বাড়ানো হয়। নতুন উদ্যোক্তাদের আন্তর্জাতিক বাজারের সঙ্গে যুক্ত করতে Start-up Hub Pavilion-ও চালু করা হয়। এর মাধ্যমে প্রযুক্তি প্রদর্শনের পাশাপাশি নতুন ব্যবসা ও খাতভিত্তিক সমস্যা নিয়ে আলোচনার সুযোগ তৈরি করা হয়েছিল।
এর আগে ২০২৩ সালের আয়োজনে ১১২টি দেশের ৪৭ হাজার ৫২৭ জন দর্শনার্থী এবং ৫৭টি দেশের ১ হাজার ১৮৬টির বেশি প্রদর্শক অংশ নিয়েছিলেন। মূল মেলা ও মেলার আগের দিন মিলিয়ে চার দিনে ১২০টির বেশি সেশন অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। Aquatic Asia Conference-এ মাছ ও চিংড়ির পুষ্টি নিয়ে বিশেষজ্ঞদের আলোচনা এবং টেকসই খামার ব্যবস্থাপনা নিয়ে জ্ঞান বিনিময় ছিল উল্লেখযোগ্য কার্যক্রম।
বাংলাদেশের জন্য কোথায় গুরুত্ব
বাংলাদেশের পোল্ট্রি, ডেইরি, মৎস্য ও ফিডশিল্পের বাস্তবতা বিবেচনায় এ ধরনের প্রদর্শনীর গুরুত্ব বিশ্লেষণ করলে কয়েকটি বিষয় সামনে আসে। প্রথমত, একই স্থানে একাধিক কোম্পানির প্রযুক্তি তুলনা করা যায়। দ্বিতীয়ত, যন্ত্রপাতির দামের পাশাপাশি বিদ্যুৎ খরচ, রক্ষণাবেক্ষণ, খুচরা যন্ত্রাংশ ও বিক্রয়োত্তর সেবা সম্পর্কে সরাসরি প্রশ্ন করার সুযোগ তৈরি হয়। তৃতীয়ত, রোগ প্রতিরোধ, পুষ্টি ও উৎপাদন ব্যবস্থাপনা বিষয়ে বিশেষজ্ঞদের কাছ থেকে ধারণা নেওয়া যায়।
তবে বাংলাদেশের জন্য প্রযুক্তির উপযোগিতা যাচাই করাই হবে আসল কাজ। বড় খামারের জন্য তৈরি যন্ত্র ছোট বা মাঝারি খামারে কতটা কার্যকর, স্থানীয় আবহাওয়ায় সেটি চলবে কি না এবং বিনিয়োগ ফেরত আসতে কত সময় লাগতে পারে—এসব প্রশ্নের উত্তর প্রয়োজন।
প্রদর্শনীতে অংশগ্রহণের উদ্দেশ্য তাই আগে নির্ধারণ করা দরকার। কেউ ফিড মিলের দক্ষতা বাড়াতে চান, কেউ হ্যাচারির প্রযুক্তি দেখতে চান, আবার কেউ মাছের খাদ্য, দুধ সংরক্ষণ বা মাংস প্রক্রিয়াজাতকরণের সমাধান খুঁজবেন। লক্ষ্য নির্দিষ্ট থাকলে সংশ্লিষ্ট প্রতিষ্ঠান ও আলোচনাগুলো বেছে নেওয়া সহজ হবে।
